You just dump a bag
of frozen wild blueberries in a sauce pan with lemon, ginger, and maple syrup then cook until the berries start to realize their juices.
I have cooked
with frozen wild blueberries before, and they are much better than regular — simply because the flavor is much more concentrated.
When I make my morning smoothie, I almost always include a few tablespoons of chopped raw walnuts and 1/2 cup
of frozen wild blueberries.
If you don't already do so, I highly recommend keeping a stash of
frozen wild blueberries in the freezer so you can enjoy them all year round.
Of course, during the summer fresh berries are my preference but during the winter, rather than buying flown in Chilean produce, I grab
frozen wild blueberries from the store for my fix.
We used bananas from the freezer,
half frozen wild blueberries (we live in Maine:), and half diced up peaches we froze in a simple syrup last summer.

1 serving of steel cut oats (made with water), 1 tblspoon almond butter unsalted and unsweetened, and some
unsweetened frozen wild blueberries or peaches or half of a fresh banana.
I don't measure anything, but my guess would be 1/2
cup frozen Wild Blueberries, 1/3 cup frozen cherries, 1/2 cup frozen pineapple, 3 Medjool dates (you could use a banana instead), an orange, 1 cup of frozen spinach, 3/4 cup frozen cauliflower, 1/3 of a zucchini, 3 tablespoons of the best peanut butter, 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds, and a bunch of almond milk to blend.
You
mightthink frozen Wild Blueberries aren't as nutritious as fresh regular ones, but by nature the little wild ones have more flavor, deep blue color and beneficial antioxidants than the cultivated regular ones.
To this particular recipe I also
added frozen wild blueberries, which I happened to have in my freezer and wanted to use up (as I said, crumbles are forgiving.)

I don't measure anything, but rough estimates are half an orange, half a cup of
frozen Wild Blueberries, small handful of frozen cherries and frozen cauliflower, a big medjool date, frozen spinach, about a tablespoon of peanut butter, a teaspoon of hemp seeds, a collard green, a few slices of zucchini, a celery stalk, sprinkle of cinnamon, and almond milk to blend.
Nonetheless, I still did my usual routine yesterday: 1 cup
frozen wild blueberries, 1 cup frozen spinach, 1/2 scoop Vega vanilla protein + greens, 1 tbsp cacao, 1 tbsp hemp seeds, 1 tsp spirulina, a splash of vanilla extract, and almond milk.
This one had 3/4 cup
frozen Wild Blueberries, a couple chunks frozen banana, a spoonful of Justin's vanilla almond butter, 1 cup frozen spinach, 1 tsp spirulina, a little cacao, and a scoop of my fave organic chocolate brown rice protein.
This blend was a bunch of
frozen wild blueberries, a handful of frozen dark sweet cherries, frozen spinach, chocolate Vega, a Medjool date, spirulina, almond butter, hemp seeds, a splash of vanilla extract, cinnamon, and almond milk to blend.
The FDA even backs up the data that
frozen Wild Blueberries are just as nutritious and may retain their nutritional value longer than regular blueberries.
