many soy butters try to mimic peanut butter as much as possible and border on artificial - tasting or cloyingly sweet.
Side note: I have two allergic to PB so I
hope soy butter and / or sunflower seed butter freeze and thaw well.
One big plus about almond, cashew, and sunflower seed butters is that they are only available in natural form (meaning they exclusively made of crushed nuts and, in some cases, salt), whereas some brands of peanut and
soy butters add partially hydrogenated oils (trans fats) and sugar.
(For a peanut - free option there are several brands of
roasted soy butter that taste just like peanut butter, or use another nut or seed butter instead.)
The open - air bar and grill with canary yellow walls serves three meals daily and specializes in ocean - fresh seafood dishes grilled ahi with
ginger soy butter and a Hawaiian classic: ahi poke.
Mind you, it retains weird things, like an entree I had in the Adelaide Hills 20 years ago — scallops
in soy butter... mmmmm.

As for a substitution,

We can't use nut, seed, or
soy butter in my son's food so this really helps!
In a separate bowl, mix the nut butter (or seed or
soy butter), honey or agave, banana, and vanilla, until well combined.

This is for peanut butter: if you have a peanut allergy or just don't like peanut butter, you can substitute the same amount of almond butter, pumpkin butter,
soy butter, sunflower seed butter, hummus or bean dip.
Healthier fats include canola oil, olive oil,
soy butter, and tub margarines with no Trans fats.
