"Wax paper" refers to a type of thin, translucent paper that has been coated with a layer of wax. It is used to wrap and store food as it creates a protective barrier, preventing moisture and air from reaching the food.

To Roll dough:
On wax paper with a floured surface gently flatten the ball of dough with a rolling pin.
Remove the plastic wrap and cut into 1/8 inch slices, place on
wax paper lined baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes.
You can slice it, place pieces of
wax paper between slices, and seal in a gallon size freezer bag.
The cake part came out well, although I
used wax paper instead of parchment and the bottoms stuck a bit.
This made a large batch so I am freezing the leftover patties raw in between sheets of
wax paper for future breakfasts!
Roll out the dough in between two pieces of
wax paper until about 1/4 inch thick.
To freeze, place in layers separated
by wax paper in airtight container.
Set the bottom layer on your cake plate and place a couple of strips of parchment or

The secret to keeping these cookies soft and chewy is to roll out the dough on plastic wrap or
wax paper while it's still warm; then chill it before cutting into shapes.
