Chili powder refers to a spicy seasoning made from dried and ground chili peppers, often used to add heat and flavor to dishes.

Mix the remaining 1/3 cup breadcrumbs, oil and the remaining 1/2
teaspoon chili powder in a small bowl until the breadcrumbs are coated with oil.

dried chili powders that I bought, mix with water, and add to the chili for the bulk of the seasoning.
The packets have wheat flour in them, and actual
chili powder does not so I believe this is where my mistake was made.
Make sure you use a chili seasoning mix which is a blend of spices instead of just
plain chili powder.
