When I first mentioned this idea for mango
macadamia nut butter cups to my friends, I was met with some pretty adamant skepticism regarding the combination of chocolate and mango.
Though the recipe calls
for macadamia nut butter (which I made by blending 2 cups of macadamia nuts in a food processor until smooth), you can essentially use any nut butter that you have on hand such as almond butter.
I made these tonight with a couple substitutions for my aunts allergies —
macadamia nut butter instead of... any other kind because she can't have ANY of them, and she can't have honey or maple syrup (and we were out of agave) so I did a bit of coconut oil and some stevia.
It uses soy protein isolate and
macadamia nut butter as its protein sources, and the majority of its ingredients are clean with no color dyes or sugar alcohol.

To make that recipe simply substitute raw macadamia nuts for the almonds and
raw macadamia nut butter for the roasted almond butter.
I set off to try and make an
easy macadamia nut butter recently and after much tinkering, I think I found the perfect combination for a great nut butter who's nutritional profile is unmatched compared to other nuts.

I used almond butter for the filling, but you can easily replace it with peanut butter to nail that Reese's flavor, or experiment with a fancier nut butter
like macadamia nut butter or cashew butter.
Our family favorites are soaked pecan butter,
soaked macadamia nut butter, soaked hazelnut butter, soaked almond butter, and soaked 4 nut blend.

So, in version 2, I got far better results — but I changed three variables: I got a
true macadamia nut butter, not a chunky one, I added in 1/2 cup of almond butter per Jeff Nimoy's original inspiration, and also some coconut flour... in order to add fiber for more stiffness and adhesion when sliced.
Last night my husband and I each had a half - banana, a 1/4 cup of blueberries topped with a bit
of macadamia nut butter, hazelnut butter and cold coconut milk.
This is a huge bonus for me since I'm trying to stay in ketosis and I thought, what better way to make a candy or bark than with some Coconut Cream Concentrate and
Macadamia Nut Butter as a base?
It's a good thing I don't have access to
Macadamia Nut Butter.
Macadamia nut butter is a revelation.
Just one question, would I be able to substitute the Cashew nut butter with either
macadamia nut butter or Almond nut butter?
