Adding crunchy
dry toasted sunflower seeds offers a texture and nutty taste — a completely different food compared to raw sunflower seeds.
The flavors in the vinaigrette are a nice complement to this light salad with arugula, fresh peas, and orange topped
with toasted sunflower seeds.

The toasted sunflower seeds give it an almost popcorn - like addictiveness.
I too,
toasted the sunflower seeds (salted) to a rich dark roast.
You can also stir in some corn or
toasted sunflower seeds.
For a savory snack, try hummus on toast with sliced red pepper, a little chopped green onion,
toasted sunflower seeds, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt and pepper.
Feel free to add a small handful of additional spinach and / or
some toasted sunflower seeds alongside to round out the meal.
Oats are already a pretty good source of protein, but you can make them even better by topping with sliced almonds, ground flaxseed, chia seeds,
toasted sunflower seeds, or all of the above!
