Spread the almond flour out
evenly over the pie dough, leaving a 2 - inch border around the outside.
Make egg wash by whisking egg yolk and cream together then brush
over pie dough.
Now using your hands spread the crust all
over the pie dish until its spread out evenly.
I used whatever fruit I had in the refrigerator and some
left over pie glaze on top.
Drizzle over the pie and bake another 8 - 10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the pears are soft.
Remove from refrigerator and gently spread the remaining homemade whipped
cream over the pie.
While some people have called them sinners, others have
brought over pies and cookies in welcome.
The marshmallows may not look spectacular at this point but they will make a nice topping
over the pie as everything cools down.
For the large one I cut the crust into strips to make it easier to
lay over the pie and that worked out really well.
(5) Cut substantial vents, especially in the chocolate pie, so the crust doesn't bubble up and form a
dome over the pie.
I recommend making a tent by sitting it in the centre of paper / foil squeezing it together like a
roof over the pie.
To make it, just toss the ingredients in your blender,
smooth over a pie dish and bake.
You will inevitably find yourself
drooling over the pies and cookies, which in turn, will cause you to feel restricted and tempted to binge.
Mix chocolate syrup, corn syrup and peanut butter and
pour over pie.
Carefully pour any sauce from the pie plate into a bowl; place a serving plate
over the pie plate and invert potatoes onto a plate.
Roll out the large disk into a 10 1/2 inch round and
drape over the pie plate, crimping the edges, then refrigerate.
Step 4: Carefully roll the dough around the rolling pin and then unroll the dough
over the pie pan.
And pie is delicious even if the crust is a little crumbly or the filling leaks
all over the pie plate when you cut it.
Roll the dough loosely around the rolling pin and
unroll over the pie, leaving at least 1 - inch overhang on each side.
I recommend tenting a piece of
foil over the pie halfway through, then removing it for the last 5 minutes or so to prevent over-browning.
What a great idea for a Thanksgiving dinner for those who prefer
cake over pie!
Place 1/4 cup of tomato
sauce over each pie (more or less if you like) followed by the mozzarella.
Take second shell out of pan and
invert over pie filling, press edges together to seal (or use a Wholly Wholesome rolled pie dough for the top crust.
In The Pie and Pastry Bible, Beranbaum recommends cutting a circle of foil big enough to
wrap over the pie and snipping out the center of the circle, forming a ring that securely protects the edges.
Put the prepared pastry
sheet over the pie dish and press firmly around the edge of the pastry so it sticks to the dish and seals all the way around it then trim any excess pastry away with a knife.
