kale chips on the internet — so why hadn't I tried them yet?
There now, doesn't this picture of baby
kale leaves make you feel 100 % better just by looking at it?
Consider adding lentils to the leftover sauce with some carrots and greens like
kale for a delicious lunch.
Add kale into the skillet during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

I just made this meal of love, except I used
chopped kale in place of mixed greens..
My own little family got into a habit of cooking down almost 1 whole pound of fresh chopped
kale into our chunky tomato - rich chili!
I enjoyed it over
baby kale as there was plenty of complex carbs in the sauce itself.
Now we are experimenting with spinach as well
as kale... and different fruits.
Allow to simmer just
until kale leaves are tender and bright green, about 3 minutes.
It's that time of year when I make fresh pesto
using kale from the farmer's market and other herbs.
The apple cider vinegar marinade makes this
massage kale salad as tender as if it had been cooked, while still retaining all of the live enzymes.
This is the perfect change

If you've never eaten
raw kale in a salad, here's the deal.
My midwife told me to try
cooking kale for its calcium, and this fits the bill perfectly!
Obviously not quite as healthy as
eating kale raw, say for example in a smoothie, but definitely way better than deep fried potatoes!
I love making
kale pesto for pasta — so delicious and healthy.
Roasted pumpkin seeds and
fresh kale add a creative twist to the homemade pesto.
I made this with
curly kale instead of spinach and it was really good!
Immediately pour dressing mixture
over kale mixture and toss thoroughly to combine.
And if you're not a fan of bacon, you can use crispy
kale instead for a breakfast that's just as portable.
Add
kale stems and cook, stirring frequently, until they're soft, about 5 minutes.
If you don't have a blender, just finely chop the cooked
kale by hand and use a bowl and whisk to make the batter.
Add
kale mixture, 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, and nutmeg to potatoes; blend.
We
saute kale in olive oil and a little water with loads of crushed garlic a few times a week.
This means that you should buy
organic kale if possible, and be sure to wash what you do buy thoroughly.
I only had a half bunch of
kale so added chopped mushrooms to help fill it out.
I never thought I liked
kale because I had only eaten it raw in salads.
It seems like every food or health blog I read these days is talking
about kale chips.
Place kale leaves in a bowl and drizzle on the olive oil.

And if you think
kale doesn't go with chocolate, you are obviously not a toddler.
When eggs are near completion,
toss kale into edge of frying pan to soften up (3 - 5 minutes).
Try
shredded kale instead of asparagus and zucchini in place of the carrot for a fun twist or try adding minced red pepper for a dash of color.
If you can
get kale, that's even better.
And so, there are cool new
kale juice businesses popping up that twenty years ago wouldn't have made any sense.
Not to mention that squash +
kale + quinoa + apples + nuts = the most perfect food combination OF ALL TIME.
Never really cooked with
kale before but this dish was surprisingly good and really simple.
